We have recently valued this 5 Star hotel next to the London Heliport. It was one of the Von Essen hotels who are in administration. The long leasehold interest has just been purchased (December 2012) by The Cowell Group for a confidential amount. It is a 70 room hotel with a restaurant, spa, gym, bar and extensive conference facilities. What’s new?

This department is still suffering from a lack of good stock, however good products are still achieving asking price or above. Most potential deals are historic that have been overpriced, haven’t sold or are unrealistic in the first place.

Although many buyers are still struggling to obtain finance, we have many cash rich buyers with subtantial funds willing to buy what they consider to be reasonably priced deals.

Two acre site sold in Central Islington to A2 Dominion for £25 million with planning consent for a mixed scheme of 400 residential units and 60,000 sq.ft. approximately of commercial.
Sold 4,400 sq.ft. building off Highbury Fields, N5 with future development plotential, on behalf of Lloyds Banking Group.
Sold 6,600 sq.ft. building in Cloudesley Street, N1 to an investor.
Aquired a parade of 10 shops and upper parts in Upper Street for clients.
Sold a part completed development site in Messing, Essex for 7 houses.
Sold a shop and upper part investment off Highbury Fields, N5.

Sold a building comprising 4 flats in need of modernisation for Islington Council.

We are currently negotiating on two major sites in Islington, together with a few smaller deals with planning in Islington and Hackney. We are constantly on the look out for deals on behalf of our clients.

The LPA Department is an area which is expanding rapidly. We have reported on over 25 potential new jobs witin the last month and are acting for a variety of banks within London, the M25 and South East.
